What if you could build a new college from scratch? Would you bother with physical classrooms, or would online spaces do? What would those spaces—real or virtual—look like?
These days some upstart higher-education leaders are building new campuses with very different models. We’ve invited a couple of them to join us for our next EdSurge Live video series to talk about their efforts, and to answer your questions about the process and about where they see education going.
We’ll be joined by:
Ben Nelson, chairman and CEO of the Minerva Project, a highly-selective college that wants to be an Ivy League-equivalent for the digital age.
Michelle Jones, founder and president of Wayfinding Academy, a two-year nonprofit college that tries to flip the standard two-year model by stressing activities and guidance that help students figure out what they want to do with their lives and putting traditional academic content as a background feature.
Join us on June 26 at 1 pm PT/4 pm ET and bring your questions, or your own suggestions for what a campus should look like.
If you are not already a member, your registration will also sign you up for the Digital Learning Network, the EdSurge community of digital learning leaders. By joining you'll get updates about similar events in the future.
