Over the past six months, the EdSurge Research team has been exploring how community colleges define student success, what indicators they track and analyze as progress toward completion and what role technology plays in monitoring progress and supporting students along their individual paths to success.
This report synthesizes findings from information we gathered through phone interviews and survey data. We've:
- Unpacked the complexities about how success is defined by community colleges,
- Categorized the efforts to help students reach their success goals.
- Identified progress indicators that might be used to assess whether students are staying on track, and
- Synthesized findings to codify how community colleges differ in their approaches to supporting student success.
